The high decline is observed in Suzuki Mehran sales as the production is going to end in few months.
Suzuki Mehran sales are continuously declining. However, the automobile sector of Pakistan observed the adverse impact due to the influence of different factors. The Rupee devaluation, car buying policies for non-filers, and slow economic growth are the key factors.
Suzuki, the key player in the 800cc and 1000cc category, also got affected by these factors. However, just 75% of Mehran’s 22,298 cars were sold. However, it is acknowledged as among most selling cars among middle class family.
Amir Allahwala, from Pakistan Auto Parts Manufacturers Association revealed that the manufacturing of Suzuki Mehran will end within next 2 months.
In September 2018, Suzuki made the official announcement to end the Mehran’s VX variant production in April this year. However, in 2017 Pak Suzuki sold 42,000 units of Suzuki Mehran.
In March this year, Alto 2019 will replace the Suzuki Mehran. The expected price tag will be around Rs 850,000 to 900,000 for the basic variant. However, the official announcement is still in pipeline for in this matter.
