Increased Price for The Toyota Corolla and Its Rivals Since 2021

The Pakistani auto sector has seen a significant change as a result of the recent price increases. Particularly compact sedans have seen a sharp price increase and are now regarded as luxury goods. The Toyota Corolla was for a long period Pakistan's best-selling automobile due to its excellent value. However, after the most recent price increase, its demand may decline, which also applies to its rivals. Competitors for the Corolla include the Honda Civic, Mazda3, Hyundai Elantra, Kia Forte, and Nissan Sentra.

Since August 2021 (or the vehicle's introduction), the cost of the Corolla and its rivals has increased by the following amounts:

Surprisingly, the Toyota Corolla has witnessed the most price increase among competitors. However, it is still the most affordable compact sedan available right now (Altis 1.6 Manual variant).

Civic's pricing hasn't risen as much as Corolla's because it was introduced earlier this year. Regardless, it remains one of Pakistan's most expensive vehicles. Civic outperforms numerous crossovers in terms of price, with the top variant costing Rs. 8.1 million (without taxes).
