Toyota Indus has recently launched an Aero Kit upgrade for its Yaris model. This kit promises to give the car a completely new exterior appearance, and is currently only available for two of the six Yaris variants. However, this upgrade does come with a cost, and it is important to weigh the benefits of the Aero Kit against its price. In this blog post, we will explore what exactly the Aero Kit entails, the variants in which it is available, the reason for its launch, and whether or not it is worth the extra money.
What is the Aero Kit?
The Aero Kit is an upgrade to the exterior of the Toyota Yaris. It includes front and rear bumper extensions, a trunk spoiler, body-colored trim around the fog lamps, side skirts, and a lowered stance. While the Aero Kit doesn't offer any interior upgrades, it does give the Yaris a sporty and more aggressive look.
Which Variants Will Come with the Aero Kit?
Currently, the Aero Kit upgrade is only available for two of the Toyota Yaris variants:
• Toyota Yaris 1.3L ATIV CVT
• Toyota Yaris 1.5L ATIV X CVT

Why Is Toyota Indus Offering This Kit Now?
When the Toyota Yaris was launched in 2020, it was an instant success, with promising sales due to its competitive pricing and lack of competition. However, the sales of the Yaris began to decline in 2022 due to increased competition from the new Honda City (6th generation) and the new Suzuki Swift (3rd generation). While the specific sales figures for the Yaris are not available from the Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association (PAMA), the combined sales numbers for the Yaris and Corolla show a decline of almost 80% in one year.
It is likely that Toyota Indus has launched the Aero Kit upgrade in an effort to revive the sales of its once popular sedan.
Sales Figures of Yaris and Its Competitors:
As mentioned earlier, the Yaris has been facing stiff competition from the new Honda City and the new Suzuki Swift. According to the sales figures of March 2022 and March 2023, the combined sales numbers for Yaris and Corolla dropped from 5,395 to 1,119 in just one year.
Should You Consider Buying Toyota Yaris Aero?
If you like the performance and interior features of the Yaris but would prefer a sportier exterior, then the Yaris Aero might be worth considering. However, if you are looking for a completely new look, you may want to consider other options like the Honda City or the Suzuki Swift.
