Kia Lucky Motors has suspended Kia Sportage booking among other models. Prior to the suspension of the Kia Sportage, a rumor buzzed in the market that the company intended to introduce Kia Sportage next generation soon. However, as per the rumors, the company is planning to launch a new generation of this crossover SUV in Pakistan.
KIA Lucky Motors is a well-known South Korean carmaker that has developed a wide range of best-selling vehicles in Pakistan.In a notification, the Kia Sportage car’s company said the booking of Kia Picanto, Kia Sportage, and Kia Picanto is suspended “until further notice.” In the meantime, bookings will be open for the fully built unit (CBU) of Kia Stonic, Sorento, and Carnival.
The company has not unveiled the reason for this suspension. According to sources, political instability in the country and the depreciation of the Pakistani rupee against the US dollar seem to be the possible reason for suspending the booking.
The question arises when the 5th generation of Sportage, which is the last, will come to Pakistan? As per the sources, it is believed that this could happen by the end of 2022 or in the early months of 2023.
