Toyota Indus Motor Company and Pak Suzuki Motor Company have reduced their vehicle prices following the sharp recovery of the Pakistani rupee against the US dollar. Despite the significant price reductions, bookings for new vehicles remain suspended because the company is experiencing production disruption due to constraints on central bank approval of Letters of Credit (LCs) for the import of CKD kits.
The rates are subject to change without prior notice, and the prices are in effect at the time of delivery, according to Pak Suzuki. The updated prices of Suzuki cars are dropped by almost Rs. 200,000.
The price of the 660cc Alto has been reduced by Rs116,000, and the top-spec Alto VXL AGS is now available for Rs2.223 million. WagonR and Cultus prices have also been reduced by Rs147,000 and Rs145,000, respectively. WagonR AGS is now available for Rs2.802 million, while Cultus AGS is priced at Rs3.234 million.
The price of the new Suzuki Swift has been reduced by Rs199,000, making the flagship Swift GLX CVT available for Rs3.760 million. Ravi and Bolan, two four-decade-old middle-class vehicles, have had their prices reduced by Rs75,000 and Rs79,000, respectively. Ravi pickup is now available for Rs1.424 million, while Bolan is priced at Rs1.50 million. Bolan Cargo now costs Rs1.487 million after the reduction.
