Pak Suzuki Is Hosting Launch On 12th Of April For Alto 660cc, Mehran’s Manufacture Ceases.
And the wait is over! Pak Suzuki is hosting a premiere launch event for Alto 660cc on 12th of April as officially teased by Pak Suzuki while confirming that the Suzuki Mehran discontinues, forever. There is no low key since the old fashioned car is being finally, replaced by a much modified version.
Suzuki Mehran, the small car played a big role in developing country’s vendor base owing to 70pc local parts.
Mehran having played its monopoly for more than a decade is now coming to an end as Pak Suzuki finds it reasonable in time to put an official halt to its manufacturing process.
Sources in the PSMCL said the company has accommodated almost 80pc of Mehran vendors for making Alto 660cc 2019 parts and accessories and these vendors will gradually expand their business with rising localization and sales of new vehicle.
PSMCL had stopped booking of Suzuki Mehran (all versions) from April 1 following discontinuation of its production. The company informed its authorized dealers that all pending orders received till April 4 would be served within commitment.
Suzuki Alto is coming up with a 660cc engine and in both auto and manual transmission. The new car is expected to have a price value of Rs 900,000-1,000,000 (approx) for the basic variant, though an official announcement needs to confirm it.
Following information sources, there are three variants of Alto 2019 launching, where the top-of-the-line model has an auto gearbox, however the manual Alto will be available with one base model and one higher spec model. Alto 660cc, as we know, has been manufactured as an alternative to Mehran. And though we find Alto 660cc much expensive than the Suzuki Mehran, we still wait to witness how farther the modifications Alto cc exhibits to commence Mehran’s halt.
