Toyota has cut prices of its Corolla Cross Hybrid in Pakistan. The cut comes after the government lowered sales tax on hybrid cars.

These are ex-factory Karachi prices. They took effect from September 13, 2026.
Why Prices Dropped
The story goes back to July 1, 2026. That's when sales tax on locally made hybrid cars jumped from 8.5% to 25%. Toyota raised prices a week later, on July 8.
At that time, the HEV X price rose from Rs. 8,935,000 to Rs. 10,299,000. The standard HEV went up from Rs. 8,535,000 to Rs. 9,849,000.
The government later cut the same tax, from 25% to 18%. This applies to hybrid cars made in Pakistan with engines up to 2,000cc.
Several carmakers have already lowered prices after this tax cut. Toyota is the latest to follow. So far, only its Corolla Cross hybrid variants are affected.
What This Means for Buyers
If you're planning to buy a Corolla Cross Hybrid, this is good timing. Prices are now lower than after July's hike, though still above the original rates from before that increase.
